Memori I/O Microcontroller - Jenis-jenis memori :

1. Untuk menyimpan Firmware
   - Read Only Memory (ROM)
   - Programmable ROM (PROM)
   - Erasable and Programmable ROM (EPROM)
   - Electrically Erasable PROM (EEPROM)
2. Untuk menyimpan Software
   - Random Access Memory (RAM) : read / write memory
3. Input / Output
   - untuk transfer data antara microprocessor dan perangkat luar (peripheral devices)
   - interface chips (buffers) digunakan untuk mensinkronkan data transfer antara microprocessor dan peripheral devices
   - contoh : port serial, parallel, USB, IEEE 1394, IDE, SCSI, dll
